Interior Design & Layout


Now that your manuscript is complete, you can turn your attention to the interior design and layout of your book.  This, along with the cover, is what will determine if your book is perceived as amateur or professional. First, determine the trim size of your book (5 ½" x 8 ½" or 6" x 9").  Then, consider the interior layout of your book:

Body Chapters
Title
Chapter Heads
Subheads
Header / Footer
Page Numbers
Photos /Illustrations
